ABOUT US
Every great restaurant has a story, and Luciano’s began with a love story that crossed cultures, continents, and oceans.
Chef Kristian Luciano Spera was born and raised in Sardegna, Italy, where his passion for food was inspired by family traditions, simple ingredients, and the authentic flavours of Italian home cooking. While living in London, he met a Malaysian lady from Johor who would soon become the love of his life.
They married in London and spent many wonderful years building a life together. During those years, Chef Luciano grew to love not only his wife but also the rich culture, traditions, and warmth of Malaysia through her stories, family, and heritage.
As time passed, the couple shared a dream of creating something special together. Although London had been their home for many years, Chef Luciano felt drawn to Malaysia—a country that had captured his heart through the woman he loved.
Together, they made the decision to start a new chapter and settle in Malaysia. With a shared passion for food and hospitality, they opened Luciano’s, an Italian street food restaurant inspired by the simple, relaxed dining culture found throughout Italy and Europe.
Their philosophy is simple: authentic food does not need to be complicated. At Luciano’s, every dish is prepared with honesty, tradition, and respect for Italian culinary heritage. The restaurant’s casual atmosphere reflects the way people eat in Italy—good food, good company, and no unnecessary fuss.
Today, Luciano’s is more than just a restaurant. It is the result of a journey that began in Sardegna, blossomed in London, and found its home in Malaysia. It is a celebration of love, family, friendship, and the beautiful connection between two cultures.
What started with two people from opposite sides of the world falling in love has become a place where everyone is welcome to gather around a table and create memories of their own.
